Who can apply?

Anyone with a great idea, a drive to carry it forward and a will to collaborate with a leading energy company in a booming region. We’d love to hear from you if you’re an established start-up, or if you’re ready to get going. The accelerator program is open to applicants from any European countries.

How do I apply?

We are now planning for the next edition of the program. Interested? Contact us!

How does the selection process work?

Stage 1: EIT InnoEnergy, Skellefteå Kraft, Boliden and Data Ductus will review and evaluate the applications. The 15 highest scoring start-ups will be invited to the second stage. Selected start-ups will receive a notification.

Stage 2: The 15 selected start-ups will be further assessed via an online meeting with a jury of experts. They will have 5 minutes to pitch their solution before answering questions set by our experts.

Stage 3: The best candidates will be invited to join the Accelerator Program. Selected start-ups will receive a notification.

When does the Accelerator Program start and end?

The next edition of the program will start in 2021. Dates will be updated soon.

What is included in the Accelerator Program?

The five-month program is tailor-made to provide access to a broad range of support and services such as:

  • Coaching by professionals with relevant experience and networks

  • Specific workshops with program partners

  • Analysis of market opportunities

  • Support in developing and validating business, revenue and pricing models

  • Supply chain development – such as localised manufacturing, installation and service partners/vendors

  • Definition of value propositions and partnership models

  • Team assessment

  • Technology & industrialisation support (IP rights protection, standardisation & certification services, engineering design and more)

Does participation in the Accelerator Program require a physical presence in Skellefteå?

Physical presence wont be mandatory. The main part of the program will run online but if the COVI19 situation allows selected start-ups will be invited to join some activities that will take place in Skellefteå.

If it is still not recommended to travel while the program is taking place, we will provide online alternatives to all all activities and services.

Curious about living in Skellefteå? We can also offer a soft landing program for you and your colleges to be able to live and work in Skellefteå during the five month program.

Will travel and accommodation expenses be covered?

We will cover accommodation and travel costs to/from Skellefteå when and if physical presence there is required for the accelerator program.
