Who can apply?

Anyone with a great idea, a drive to carry it forward and a will to collaborate with a leading energy company in a booming region. We’d love to hear from you if you’re an established start-up, or if you’re ready to get going. The accelerator programme is open to applicants from any European countries.

How do I apply?

We are now planning for the next edition of the programme. Interested? Contact us!

How does the selection process work?

Stage 1: EIT InnoEnergy and Skellefteå Kraft will review and evaluate the applications. The 15 highest scoring start-ups will be invited to the second stage. Selected start-ups will receive a notification.

Stage 2: The 15 selected start-ups will be further assessed via an online meeting with a jury of experts. They will have 5 minutes to pitch their solution before answering questions set by our experts.

Stage 3: The best candidates will be invited to join the Accelerator Programme. Selected start-ups will receive a notification.

When does the Accelerator Programme start and end?

The next editiion of the programme will start in 2021. Dates will be updated soon.

What is included in the Accelerator Programme?

The three-month programme is tailor-made to provide access to a broad range of support and services such as:

  • Coaching by professionals with relevant experience and networks

  • Specific workshops with programme partners

  • Analysis of market opportunities

  • Support in developing and validating business, revenue and pricing models

  • Supply chain development – such as localised manufacturing, installation and service partners/vendors

  • Definition of value propositions and partnership models

Does participation in the Accelerator Programme require a physical presence in Skellefteå?

If the evolution of the COVID-19 situation allows it, selected start-ups will be invited to join some activities in Skellefteå, Sweden but they won’t have to be present during the entire programme as some of the activities will be run online. If it is still not recommended to travel while the programme is taking place, we will provide online alternatives to all all activities and services.

Will travel and accommodation expenses be covered?

We will cover accommodation and travel costs to/from Skellefteå when and if physical presence there is required for the accelerator programme.
